Canadian Deputy Minister Chrystia Freeland steps down just before she was supposed to give a speech on the state of Canada’s economy. Brian Lilley, political columnist for the Toronto Sun, says that’s a terrible sign for Justin Trudeau, as Freeland is essentially a Marxist. Lilley points to Trudeau’s 11% approval rating compared to the higher favorability of opposition leader Pierre Poilievre as a good sign that he’ll lose the next election if he doesn’t resign.
